Men's Sevens Roy Lucas Sevens Invitational ORSU hosts the Roy Lucas Invitational sevens tournament every year at Fuller's Farm, in memory of a great Jester. The tournament has been going since 1995 as a touch rugby tournament, until 2007 when it was turned into an invitational sevens tournament, comprised of eight to ten teams from throughout the Northwest. The tournament will be expanded in 2010 to 12 teams. Past Winners: 2009 - Eastside Tsunami 2008 - Eastside Tsunami 2007 - OSU Beavers Exhibition Matches at PGE Park  ORSU is lucky to play exhibition sevens matches at halftime of the Portland Timbers soccer games at PGE Park in downtown Portland. This opportunity is sponsored by ORSU's patron pub, the Thirsty Lion, who also sponsor the Timbers. In 2008, ORSU played OSU, and 2009 sees them taking on U of O. PGE Park attendance is usually around 9000, and the crowds get right in behind the halftime rugby! Stay tuned for 2009 PGE dates. ORSU usually plays in 3-4 other tournaments throughout the Pacific Northwest during the summer months. Training starts around the end of April and generally goes through to the end of August.
